Color and Light Therapy

Dr. Jacob Liberman (pioneering light therapist) says that light really is the medicine of the future.  It is perhaps the least invasive form of therapy in use today.  Laser therapies have become increasingly popular over the last few decades as many new types of lasers have been developed varying from tunable color lasers to solid-state lasers no bigger than an electronic chip.  A number of medical and surgical procedures have become more efficient because of lasers. For instance, laser scalpels offer the advantages of cleanly cutting through tissue while simultaneously sealing and cauterizing cut blood vessels.  Because different cellular structures absorb various colors of light differently, doctors have been able to develop very color-specific lasers for different treatment applications.  For example, green-argon lasers are often used for diabetic eye surgery because the green – light tends to affect only blood vessels, leaving other sensitive portions of  the eye undamaged.

Did you know that not only can the light of the laser beam cut through tissue, it can also activate light sensitive chemicals that are able to selectively kill certain types of cancer cells?  Bronchial tumors of the lung are one form of cancer sometimes treated using photodynamic therapy.  In photodynamic therapy (PDT),  certain light-sensitive dyes (which tend to be absorbed primarily by abnormal cells) are administered to patients in order to selectively kill cancer cells while leaving surrounding normal tissues relatively unharmed.  Many of these organic, light-sensitive dyes are derived from chemicals known as porphyrins, the ringlike chemical structures that lie at the very heart of every oxygen-carrying hemoglobin molecule in our bloodstream.

Color and Light therapy has many different uses today such as Ocular Light Therapy developed by Dr. Downing (the therapeutic projection of different colors and wavelengths of light through the eyes in order to improve various types of brain dysfunction).  Dr. Downing has found that Ocular Light Therapy can improve a variety of physiological imbalances.  Some health issues that have been shown to improve with Ocular Light Therapy includes fatigue, stress symptoms, headaches, various types of pain syndromes, hormonal imbalances, premetstrual syndrome, mood swings, insomnia, depression, fear and anxiety, hyperactivity, memory and concentration problems, learning disabilities, as well as selected vision problems.

The EPFX biofeedback device is able to reduce the stress in all the above areas and more using the biofeedback Color Program along with any other biofeedback programs the client’s body (subconscious mind)  is responding to at the time of the session.  The Biofeedback color program automatically sends the frequencies of 256 colors to the client and stops at the most beneficial stress reducing color for the client that day.

The Hidden Dangers of Environmental-Energy Stress

We are surrounded by an often overlooked form of pollution that comes from the technologies most of us just can’t live without.  This Devil in disguise is “Electromagnetic Pollution”.  We now live in a sea of unseen electromagnetic frequencies that did not exist some 70 to 80 years ago such as computers, color TV’s, microwave ovens, radio towers, and cellular phones.  Many electrical appliances that we use daily generate fairly intense electromagnetic fields that pulse at 60 cycles per second, a frequency that may subtly influence the health of human cells.  There are a number of studies that point toward an increased incidence of certain cancers in individuals who are chronically exposed to high-intensity electromagnetic fields.  Nutritional, chemical and even electromagnetic stress are just a few of the recognized sources for potential blockages to the normal flow of energy in the human energy system.  In addition to these more obvious chemical and electromagnetic stress factors, there is a subtle type of energy disturbance associated with certain geographic regions that also has the potential to exacerbate human dis-ease.    Abnormal magnetic fields that are produced by underground streams, tectonic-plate stresses along fault lines in the earth, underground crystalline deposits and other less understood factors may all contribute to the phenomenon of  ‘geopathic stress’.  Most people are unaware of this type of invisible energy pollution.  This type of energetic stress affects living systems and seems to come from abnormal energy fields produced by the earth itself.  Where a person lives, works, and sleeps may be a more powerful factor in illness causation than previously suspected.  This type of of energy stress can be identified and neutralized to varying degrees using certain types of detectors and special devices.  Some individuals who are adept at the art of dowsing can detect geopathic stress with great success.

The idea that a person’s environment could be capable of producing energetic effects on health and well-being is actually  a very old concept known as feng shui.  Feng Shui,  an ancient Chinese art of geomancy,  is based on an appreciation of the natural flow of ch’i and vital energy through the environment.  Feng Shui masters are consulted for their knowledge of enhancing the natural flow of environmental ch’i throughout homes and offices which is said to enhance ‘good earth energy’ as opposed to the energetic stagnation and illness, promoting health and prosperity.

Vibrational Medicine & the paths to Illness Versus Wellness

Imbalanced in the human physical and spiritual anatomy may lead to illness in the physical body.  Human beings possess may specialized systems that feed energy and information to the cells and tissues of the body at a variety of different levels.  These systems include the meridian system, the chakras, the etheric body and the higher spiritual bodies.  Each energy system has special properties and dynamics that affect their proper functioning.

At both physical and spiritual levels of our being, we take in various forms of energy in order for our physical body to function properly.  When this life sustaining flow of energy becomes blocked at some level, illness can eventually result.  At the physical level, we take in sustenance in the form of metabolic energy from the food we eat.  Our daily intake of carbohydrates, fats and protein and vitamins provide energy to the cells of our body to help repair and rebuild cells.

What is vibrational medicine?

For many people, the term ‘vibrational medicine’ will be unfamiliar. The word ‘vibrational’ conjures up an image of something vibrating or making sound. Sound waves are the most familiar form of vibrations that people think about when they use the term ‘vibrational’. Sound waves are only one form of vibrating energy. Light is also another form. Other examples would include radio waves, television broadcasts, x-rays, cosmic rays, ultrasonic waves, and microwaves. Each of the above are different in that they all oscillate at a different frequency or rate of vibration. So then, vibrational medicine refers to health and wellness taking into account the many forms and frequencies of vibrating energy that contribute to the ‘multidimensional’ human energy system.

According to quantum physics, the biochemical molecules that make up the physical body are actually different  kinds of vibrating energy.    Vibrational medicine is an approach to the diagnosis and treatment of illness based upon the idea that we are all unique energy systems.  By using a vibrational-medicine approach, it is possible to diagnose different types of illnesses based on a knowledge of the different frequencies of energy that can be measured coming from the human body.

Many doctors routinely order electrocardiograms (EKGs) on their patients as a part of their yearly exams.  The electrical energy coming from the heart can give doctors information about whether the heart is functioning properly.  The EKG ‘energy patterns’ can reveal to physicians if the heartbeat is regular or erratic and can also indicate whether a patient’s heart is receiving enough vital blood flow through the nutrient-carrying coronary arteries.  All this information comes from interpreting the patterns of vibrating electrical energy put out by the beating human heart ( as picked up by EKG electrodes attached to the patient’s skin).

In the energetic view of human health, we are more than mere biological engines.  We possess bodies tat are energized and motivated by the forces of our spirit and soul.  We are energetic beings whose ills may be healed not only by surgical procedures and drugs but also by different forms and frequencies of energy.  it is the energetic viewpoint of human beings, as more than just flesh-and-blood mechanisms, that is embraced and described by the vibrational-medicine model of human functioning.
